About Our Cattery
Spot of Silver Cattery is a small, family-run cattery located in Fort Worth, Texas, just minutes from the DFW Airport. We are dedicated to raising Egyptian Maus and Toygers with a strong focus on health, temperament, and quality.
We fell in love with cats that bring the look of the wild into everyday life. Our Egyptian Maus carry the elegance of an ancient breed, with their naturally spotted coats, gooseberry-green eyes, and graceful athleticism. Our Toygers offer the bold, striped look of a miniature tiger, paired with a relaxed, people-loving temperament. Each breed is striking in its own way, and both make devoted family companions.
Our cats and kittens are raised in our home as members of our family. From an early age, they receive daily love, attention, and enrichment while interacting with our children and other household pets. This hands-on approach helps them grow into confident, well-socialized companions who transition smoothly into their fur-ever homes!
Our Commitments
Health Testing
All breeding cats are DNA tested for hereditary conditions such as PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), PK-Def (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), and other breed-specific concerns. Every other year our Toygers are tested for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy). Our cattery is a FeLV negative tested cattery.
Our Kittens
Kittens grow up in our home with children, dogs, small animals and everyday noise — confident from day one. Each kitten can leave here after 12 weeks old, depending on their spay/neuter date, and will have age-appropriate vaccinations. All kittens are spayed or neutered before leaving our home.
Nutrition
Each kitten goes home with details of their current diet, which includes dry food, a variety of raw and cooked foods, and vitamin supplements. For raw and cooked foods we rotate between Viva, Smalls, chicken wings and chicken thighs.
Pick-Up & Transportation
If you cannot make it here to pick-up, we're happy to work with families with delivery either meeting half-way or the majority in Texas and surrounding states — included but not limited to: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. An arrangement with the transportation companies are also an option, along with meeting at DFW Airport for a convenient pickup at the terminal.
